Summer School «Fundamental Science with Quantum Computers and Simulators»

Researchers from CSIC’s Quantum Techologies Platform, Daniel Barredo and Juan José García Ripoll, in collaboration with Enrique Rico Ortega (UPV/EHU, Ikerbasque, BasQ and CERN), organize a summer school on how programmable quantum devices (superconducting circuits, trapped ions, Rydberg-atom arrays, and ultracold atomic systems) open new avenues for addressing fundamental physics problems beyond the reach of classical computation. The program spans many-body physics, quantum error mitigation, variational algorithms, nonequilibrium dynamics, and quantum phase transitions, from both theoretical and experimental perspectives.

The school will take place at Miramar Palace, in Donostia, from September 14th to 17th, with the support from the UIK Foundation, the Spanish Network of Quantum Information and Quantum Technologies (RITCE), and SEDIA’s Rydberg Atom Quantum Computer Initiative.
