The fourth edition of the CATMIN conference will be held from May 20 to 23, 2025, at the Universidad de Granada, in the beautiful city of Granada in Spain. The Cold Atom Molecule Interactions – CATMIN conference is a biannual event, whose previous editions were held in Paris (France), Waterloo (Canada), and London (UK). CATMIN IV will cover all areas of Rydberg physics from quantum sensing, quantum computing and quantum simulation to precision spectroscopy and cold chemistry.

The goal of the workshop “Superconductors, Disorder, Interactions and Quantum Technologies” (SDIQT25) is to gather experts and young researchers on the boundary between solid-state Physics and Quantum Technologies. The workshop will provide a motivating scientific atmosphere in order to present and discuss recent advances as well as to foster further collaborations between the participants.
The scope of the workshop is centered around the following topics.
– Ergodic to non-ergodic transition in single- and many-particle systems
– Quantum and classical glasses
– Disordered superconductors
– Superconducting twistronic and spintronics
– Disordered and hybrid superconducting hardware

El campo de la computación cuántica está a punto de experimentar avances transformadores, impulsados por progresos tangibles en el desarrollo de hardware. A medida que nos adentramos en la era de los dispositivos cuánticos tolerantes a fallos, las posibilidades de abordar sistemas cuánticos complejos, antes confinados a ámbitos teóricos, se hacen cada vez más concretas. El objetivo de esta conferencia es fomentar un entorno de colaboración en el que científicos de diversos campos, incluidos experimentos cuánticos a gran escala, métodos de aproximación clásica y algoritmos cuánticos, puedan reunirse para explorar las implicaciones de este progreso del hardware. Al facilitar los debates interdisciplinares y el intercambio de conocimientos, pretendemos identificar los retos y las oportunidades más importantes a la hora de aprovechar el hardware cuántico tolerante a fallos para abordar problemas complejos de física cuántica, química, ciencia de los materiales y otros campos.

The field of quantum computing is on the brink of transformative advancements, driven by tangible progress in hardware development. As we are entering the era of pre-fault tolerant quantum devices, the potential for addressing complex quantum systems, once confined to theoretical realms, is becoming increasingly concrete. This conference aims to foster a collaborative environment where scientists from diverse backgrounds, including large-scale quantum experiments, classical approximation methods, and quantum algorithms, can come together to explore the implications of this hardware progress. By facilitating interdisciplinary discussions and knowledge sharing, we seek to identify critical challenges and opportunities in leveraging pre-fault tolerant quantum hardware to tackle complex problems in quantum physics, chemistry, materials science, and beyond.

El objetivo del workshop es proporcionar un foro tanto para presentaciones científicas como para la discusión de temas relacionados con la optimización cuántica. Se aceptan trabajos relacionados con optimización en computadores cuánticos basados en puertas y basados en enfriamiento cuántico. También serán bienvenidos los trabajos que permitan plantear problemas de optimización como QUBOs (Quandratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization) y trabajos que propongan algoritmos inspirados por la mecánica cuántica para realizar optimización. El plazo para el envío de contribuciones termina el 26 de marzo de 2025.

This School will feature tutorial style lectures introducing themes of broad interest in the areas of non-equilibrium systems, quantum fluids, engineered quantum systems, Rydberg atoms and ions and quantum information, among others from a theoretical and experimental perspective providing a basis for new members of the community, deepening the knowledge of more experienced ones and giving a flavour of current trends in the field. All lectures will be given by leading scientists from around the world, but participants are strongly encouraged to present and discuss their own research, especially during a dedicated poster session and a few contributed talks. The level of the lectures will be aimed at graduate students and young post-docs.

QuantumX is a track co-located with SISTEDES 2025 Conference. Its aim is to create a discussion forum on Quantum Computing (QC) and Quantum Software Engineering (QSE). In this track, the aim is to promote important aspects such as: (i) the communication between research groups and researchers in Spain linked to the areas of QC and QSE, (ii) the dissemination of advances in QC and QSE in Spain, (iii) the creation of a niche for the pollination of ideas and topics related to QC and QSE, (iv) to create a forum for discussion of emerging ideas, consolidated proposals, and dissemination of work published in high impact journals, and (v) to create a workforce in QC and QSE in Spain in order to offer a consolidated perspective of advances in research on these subjects.

We are happy to announce the worshop “Entangle This VI: 100 Years of Quantum” to take place in Madrid from the 15th to the 19th of September 2025. The event is organized by the quantum groups at IFT and IFF (CSIC), and takes place in the context of the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ).
The workshop will take place at the Royal Botanical Garden in downtown Madrid, and aims to bring together experts at the forefront of the various subfields of quantum science and technology. It also includes a social program and outreach event at the Thyssen Museum.
Registrations and abstract submission (both for contributed talks and posters) are currently open until May, although early submissions are encouraged. See the event’s website for more info:
